When an "An error occurred in the communication with the save destination." message is displayed on the touch panel of the ScanSnap, refer to the subsequent message and take appropriate measures.
When only an "An error occurred in the communication with the save destination." message is displayed

Restart the ScanSnap in the following procedure and check if the problem is solved.

Close the ADF paper chute (cover) to turn off the ScanSnap.
-
Unplug the power cable of the ScanSnap from the AC outlet and plug it back in again.

Open the ADF paper chute (cover) of the ScanSnap to turn the power on.
If the problem still persists even after restarting the ScanSnap, check the following:
-
Is the ScanSnap connected to the network?
Check the following:
-
Are there no problems with the status and settings of your network environment?
-
Is the wireless access point turned on?
-
-
Are there any abnormalities in the network status of the save destination?
-
The server specified as the save destination is running normally
In addition, refer to [Windows/macOS] Scanned images cannot be saved directly from the ScanSnap to a network folder and take appropriate measures.
When a "Save destination authentication failed." message is displayed

Check the following:

Is the network folder specified as the save destination supported by ScanSnap Home?

Do you have write permissions for the network folder specified as the save destination?
Obtain write permissions for the network folder specified as the save destination.

Are the user name, password, and domain for connecting to the network folder correct?

Are the server name (IP address) of the network folder and the save destination folder path correct?
If necessary, re-specify the network folder of the save destination by the following procedure:

This message is displayed because the credentials for the network folder managed in ScanSnap Home is removed in the following cases.

When the method for displaying profiles has been changed in the [Display of profiles] screen on the touch panel

When multiple users are using one ScanSnap unit and another user has deleted the profile configured to save scanned images directly from the ScanSnap to a network folder

Display the scan window of ScanSnap Home on the computer.

Select the profile that you are using from the profile list.
-
Click the [Edit profiles] button to display the [Edit profiles] window.
-
Click the [Browse] button for [Save to] under [Managing options], then specify the network folder where scanned images are to be saved.

Click the [Save] button.
If the [Enter the network credentials] window appears, set the user name, password, and domain for connecting to the network folder.

When a "The save destination path is wrong." message is displayed

Check the following:

Is the ScanSnap connected to the network?
Check the following:

Are there no problems with the status and settings of your network environment?

Is the wireless access point turned on?
After checking the above, close the ADF paper chute (cover) to turn off the ScanSnap, open the ADF paper chute (cover) to turn it back on, then check if the problem is solved.

If necessary, re-specify the network folder of the save destination by the following procedure:

Display the scan window of ScanSnap Home on the computer.

Select the profile that you are using from the profile list.

Click the [Edit profiles] button to display the [Edit profiles] window.

Click the [Browse] button for [Save to] under [Managing options], then specify the network folder where scanned images are to be saved.

The number of characters used in the path of the network folder specified as the save destination exceeds the maximum limit.
Change the server name (IP address) of the network folder or the save destination folder path.
When a "You are not allowed to access the save destination." message is displayed

Check the following:

Do you have write permissions for the network folder specified as the save destination?
Obtain write permissions for the network folder specified as the save destination.

Delete unwanted files or change the network folder where scanned images are to be saved by the following procedure:

Select the profile that you are using from the profile list.

Click the [Edit profiles] button to display the [Edit profiles] window.

Click the [Browse] button for [Save to] under [Managing options], then specify the network folder where scanned images are to be saved.

Click the [Save] button.
If the [Enter the network credentials] window appears, set the user name, password, and domain for connecting to the network folder.
When a "There is insufficient disk space." message is displayed

Make sure that the following conditions are met, then try scanning again.

The server specified as the save destination has enough free disk space

The amount of disk space available for each user or folder is not limited on the server specified as the save destination
The procedure to change the network folder where scanned images are to be saved is as follows.

Display the scan window of ScanSnap Home on the computer.

Select the profile that you are using from the profile list.

Click the [Edit profiles] button to display the [Edit profiles] window.

Click the [Browse] button for [Save to] under [Managing options], then specify the network folder where scanned images are to be saved.

Click the [Save] button.
If the [Enter the network credentials] window appears, set the user name, password, and domain for connecting to the network folder.
When a "No save destination was found." message is displayed

Make sure that the following conditions are met, then try scanning again.

The amount of disk space available for each user or folder is not limited on the server specified as the save destination

There are no abnormalities in the network status of the save destination

The server specified as the save destination is running normally

The shared settings for the network folder specified as the save destination are unchanged (the network folder can be accessed)
The procedure to change the network folder where scanned images are to be saved is as follows.

Click the [Edit profiles] button to display the [Edit profiles] window.
