Did you delete or move the folder specified as the save destination for scanned images?
If you have deleted or moved the folder specified as the save destination for scanned images in File Explorer or Finder, this message may be displayed as the images cannot be saved.
Start up File Explorer or Finder to check that the folder specified as the save destination exists.
You can check and change the path of the folder where scanned images are to be saved by the following procedure: If necessary, change the path to that of the correct folder.

Display the scan window of ScanSnap Home on the computer.

Select the profile that you are using from the profile list.

Click the [Edit profiles] button to display the [Edit profiles] window.

Check the path of the folder in [Save to] and if necessary, change it to the path of the correct folder.
[macOS] Do you have access permission for the folder specified as the save destination for scanned images?
Access permission may not be set for the folder specified as the save destination for scanned images.
Make sure that the access permission has been set for the folder that you desire in the following procedure:

Select [System Settings] from the Apple (
) menu to display the system settings window.

Select [Privacy & Security] from the sidebar in the system settings window to display the [Privacy & Security] window.

Select [Files and Folders] from the [Privacy] list to display the [Files and Folders] window.

Check that the checkbox for the folder under "ScanSnap Home.app" is selected in the list of applications.
If the checkbox is not selected, select it to allow the folder to be accessed by ScanSnap Home.

Click
at the top of the window to close the system settings window.
