Are your fingers 5 mm or more away from characters or illustrations in the scanned image?
When you fill in the captured finger areas that get in the way of characters or illustrations, the characters or illustrations are not shown in the scanned image.
In addition, if you fill in the captured finger areas (outlined in red) that are close to characters or illustrations, the corrected image may result in mosaic patterns.
Do not cover characters or illustrations in the document with your fingers. Place your fingers in an area that is free from characters or illustrations.
Keep your fingers at least 5 mm away from characters or illustrations in the document.
