If the ScanSnap is moved during scanning, lines in the scanned image may be colored or distorted.

Did you scan wrinkled, curled, or folded documents?
Place the documents after smoothing them out.
In addition, for creased documents such as newspapers, rescanning them by using the following method may correct horizontal distortions in the text, lines, or graphics in the scanned image.

Display the scan window of ScanSnap Home on the computer.

Select the profile that you are using from the profile list.

Click the [Edit profiles] button to display the [Edit profiles] window.

Click the [Option] button for [Feed] to display the [Feed option] window.

Select the [Correct skewed text] checkbox.

Specify the size of documents to be scanned for [Type].

In the following types of documents, skews are not corrected:

Documents with no horizontal lines

Documents with fine (less than 0.5 point thick), broken, dotted, wavy, or light-colored lines

Have you corrected the distorted book image with Book Image Viewer?
If the shape of the book was not detected correctly or the outline of the book is not aligned with the actual shape of the book due to manual correction, lines in the book image may be distorted.
Correct the distorted book image by aligning the corner points and the outline with the shape of the book in Book Image Viewer.
