Did you press the [Scan] button for 2 seconds or longer?
Pressing the [Scan] button for 2 seconds or longer enables page turning detection. For this reason, the sensor may detect the movement of documents or the movement of hands, which unintentionally triggers scanning as a result.
Pressing the [Stop] button ends a scan and disables page turning detection.
To prevent the scan from starting automatically, do not press the [Scan] button for 2 seconds or longer.
Have you selected the [Configure settings for starting the next scan] checkbox in the scan settings?
To prevent the scan from starting automatically, clear the [Configure settings for starting the next scan] checkbox in the following procedure:
-
Display the scan window of ScanSnap Home on the computer.
-
Select the profile that you are using from the profile list.
-
Click the [Edit profiles] button to display the [Edit profiles] window.
-
Click the [Option] button for [Feed] to display the [Feed option] window.
-
Clear the [Configure settings for starting the next scan] checkbox.
Did brightness on the Background Pad change during the page turning detection?
If brightness on the Background Pad surface changes due to turning on/off a light or opening/closing curtains, page turning may not be correctly detected. If a shadow of a person or other object is on the Background Pad, page turning may not be correctly detected.
Prevent brightness levels from changing on the Background Pad surface. In particular, do not expose the Background Pad to strong light such as sunlight or interior light.
Did you make any other motion other than page turning during the page turning detection?
Page turning may be mistakenly detected by the sensor due to the movement of documents or hands.
Do not make any other motion other than the motion of page turning on the Background Pad during the page turning detection.
