Check the security protocol of your network
If the security protocol is one of the following, you cannot connect to a wireless access point using Bluetooth.

Is the Wi-Fi connection mode for the ScanSnap set to [Wi-Fi off]?
If you connect the ScanSnap to a wireless access point, you need to set the Wi-Fi connection mode to [Access point connection].
In the following procedure, change the Wi-Fi connection mode for the ScanSnap.

Press
in the home screen on the touch panel of the ScanSnap to display the [Settings] screen.

Press [Wireless setup] to display the [Wireless setup] screen.

Press [Connection settings] to display the [Connection settings] screen.

Select [Access point connection].

Press
to return to the home screen.
Are Bluetooth and Location turned off on the mobile device that will be connected to the ScanSnap?
On the settings screen of your mobile device, select [ScanSnap Home] from the app settings and change the following settings.
iOS/iPadOS

Turn on Bluetooth
-
Turn on Location Services
Android
-
Turn on Scan for nearby devices

Turn on Location
Is the mobile device you want to connect to the ScanSnap displaying a screen other than the ScanSnap Home screen?
Do not switch the ScanSnap Home screen to another other screen on the mobile device while you are connecting the mobile device to the ScanSnap.
Is the ScanSnap being used by another computer or mobile device?
Connect the ScanSnap after you finish using it with another computer or mobile device.
Is the frequency band for the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) to which the mobile device is connected 5 GHz or 2.4 GHz?
The frequency bands for Wi-Fi supported by ScanSnap are 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz.
To connect the ScanSnap to a mobile device, select a network name (SSID) that supports the 5 GHz or 2.4 GHz frequency band on the mobile device.

When you are in a region where Wi-Fi networks other than 2.4 GHz are available, do not select [Automatic] for the frequency in order to connect the ScanSnap. Select [2.4GHz] or [5GHz] depending on where you use the ScanSnap.

Are you trying to use the tethering function of your mobile device?
iOS/iPadOS
When using the tethering function of a mobile device, you need a separate mobile device for tethering.
Prepare a mobile device for tethering and connect the ScanSnap to it, in addition to the mobile device on which ScanSnap Home is installed.
If you cannot establish a connection using a mobile device for tethering, connect the ScanSnap and the mobile device on which ScanSnap Home is installed to a different network name (SSID).
Android
When using the tethering function of a mobile device, you need a separate mobile device for tethering.
Prepare a mobile device for tethering and connect the ScanSnap to it, in addition to the mobile device on which ScanSnap Home is installed.
