Are the ScanSnap and the computer successfully connected via Wi-Fi?
If the ScanSnap and the computer cannot be connected via Wi-Fi, refer to [Windows/macOS] The ScanSnap and the computer cannot be connected via Wi-Fi.
[macOS] Do you have access permission for the [tmp] folder on your computer?
If you do not have read and write permissions for the [tmp] folder on your computer, you cannot scan documents.
Set read and write permissions for the [tmp] folder under the [private] folder on your computer.
Did you resume the computer from hibernation or sleep mode?
Scan documents after resuming the computer from sleep mode by either moving the mouse or pressing any key on the keyboard.
Is ScanSnap Home running?
Refer to [Windows/macOS] To display the scan window of ScanSnap Home and start ScanSnap Home.
- When using a USB connection
[Windows] Did you connect the ScanSnap to the computer before installing ScanSnap Home?
Perform the following:

Open Device Manager.
For details about how to display Device Manager, refer to [Windows] To display the [Device Manager] window.

Delete the device name (such as "USB device", which differs depending on the operating system) under [Other devices] in [Device Manager].

Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.

Restart the computer.

Connect the ScanSnap and a computer with a USB cable, and then try scanning again.

Are you using a USB hub?
If you are using a USB hub, connect the ScanSnap directly to the computer via a USB cable.

Is there a USB device other than the ScanSnap operating?
Perform the following:

Disconnect other USB devices from the computer so that only the ScanSnap is connected.

Scan a document with the ScanSnap.

Connect the other USB devices to the computer again.

Refer to [Windows/macOS] To display the scan window of ScanSnap Home and start ScanSnap Home.
