If an "An optical error occurred in ScanSnap." message is displayed, clean the glass of the ScanSnap and turn the power on again.

As of April 9, 2026, you must update to the latest firmware to use ScanSnap Cloud.
Note: For the iX1600/iX1500, you cannot update the firmware using the touch panel. Update the firmware using ScanSnap Home.
