Did you scan documents with thin lines or handwritten characters?
Some lines in the image may be blurred when you scan the following types of documents:

Documents including typed text that are thin

Documents with a ruled table

Documents including handwritten characters
Perform one of the following:
- Increasing text contrast for scanning

Display the scan window of ScanSnap Home on the computer.

Select the profile that you are using from the profile list.

Click the [Edit profiles] button to display the [Edit profiles] window.

Click the [Detailed settings] button in [Scan settings] to display the [Detailed settings] window.

Click the [Option] button in the [Scan] tab to display the [Scanning options] window.

Select the [Increase text contrast] checkbox.

- Increasing the image quality level for scanning

Display the scan window of ScanSnap Home on the computer.

Select the profile that you are using from the profile list.

Click the image quality setting icon to change the image quality level as follows:

[Normal] → [Automatic], [Better], or [Best]

[Better] → [Best]

If you change the scan settings in the scan window and scan a document, after it is scanned, the scan settings will return back to the settings before any changes are made. If you want to scan documents under the same settings all the time, the scan settings need to be saved as a profile.

- Clearing the [Reduce bleed-though] checkbox for scanning.

Display the scan window of ScanSnap Home on the computer.

Select the profile that you are using from the profile list.
