Have you selected [Automatic detection] for [Document size] in the scan settings?
When you select [Automatic detection] for [Document size] in the scan settings, an image is created in the same size as the document by detecting the edges of the document.
Therefore, failure to correctly detect document edges may result in an output of the image with the maximum width of the ScanSnap.
Perform one of the following:
-
Crop the saved image to a desired size.
For details, refer to ScanSnap Help.
-
In the scan settings, specify the same size (standard or custom size) as the original document for [Document size] in the following procedure, and then try scanning again.
-
Display the scan window of ScanSnap Home on the computer.
-
Select the profile that you are using from the profile list.
-
Click the [Edit profiles] button to display the [Edit profiles] window.
-
Click the [Option] button for [ADF] or [Manual Feeder] in [Feed mode setting] to display the [Feed option] window.
-
Select the same size as the document for [Document size].
If you cannot find the same size as the document in [Document size], click the [Customize] button to specify any size.
-
